Biography

GENERAL: Strong player who comes from an athletic background... will add depth to the infield... offers a good bat off the bench... expected to be a key role player.

2011: Came off the bench in nine games and hit .375 with two RBI and two runs scored... recorded first career hit and scored first career run in a 8-1 victory at NJIT (3/15)... registered first career RBI in a 9-1 win over Fairleigh Dickinson (3/30) at Van Cortlandt Park... posted a RBI double at East Tennessee State (5/1)... finished the season with a .500 slugging percentage and .444 on-base percentage.

2010: Appeared in two games before suffering season ending injury... made collegiate debut on March 7 in a victory at Delaware... played in the second game of a doubleheader sweep at West Virginia on March 12.

BEFORE MANHATTAN:  Played three years at Bishop Ford High School in Brooklyn... named Bishop Ford's Most Valuable Player and Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) Second Team in 2008 after leading the team in batting average, RBI and hits... served as team captain at Bishop Ford in 2007 & 2008... hit above .370 in each of his three seasons at Bishop Ford... helped Lawrenceville School to the 2009 NJISAA Division A State Championship... was named to the NJISAA 2nd Team All-Prep, The Star Ledger First Team All-Prep and Trentonian First Team All-Prep.

PERSONAL: Undecided business major... the son of Edgar and Myrna De La Rosa... has a sister, Lauren.
