The Manhattan College baseball team has, through the years, produced some of the most successful athletes that the school has known. What follows is a list of former Jasper diamond dwellers that have made it to the professional level:

Tom Loughran Played for the New York Gothams in the 1884 season, appearing in nine games.
Bill Finley Played for the New York Giants in the 1886 season, appearing in 13 games.
Jack Taylor Pitched nine seasons for the New York Giants (1), Philadelphia Phillies (6), St. Louis Browns (1), and Cincinnati Reds (1) from 1981-1899. Posted a 120-117 lifetime record, with a 4.23 ERA, including three straight 20-win seasons. Recorded a 26-14 record with 33 complete games in the 1895 season.
Pete McBride Pitched for the Cleveland Spiders (1898) and the St. Louis Perfectos (1899) for one season each, appearing in a total of 12 games.
Henry Thielman Pitched for the New York Giants and the Cincinnati Reds in the 1902 season, and the Brooklyn Superbas in the 1903 season. Won nine games in 25 appearances for the Reds in 1902.
Luis Castro Played the 1902 season for the Philadelphia Athletics as an infielder, posting a .245 average with 15 RBI over 43 games. Was the first Latin American to play in the Major Leagues.
Doc Scalan Pitched eight seasons for the Pittsburgh PIrates (2), Brooklyn Superbas (5), and Brooklyn Dodgers (1) from 1903-1911, compiling a 65-71 record and a 3.00 ERA with 15 shutouts and five saves. His best season was in 1906, when he posted an 18-13 record with a 3.19 ERA and six shutouts.
Cy Ferry Pitched two seasons for the Detroit Tigers (1904) and Cleveland Naps (1905), appearing in four games.
Jim Mullin Split the 1904 season between the Philadelphia Athletics and the Washington Senators, and played the 1905 season with the Senators. Finished his career with a .197 average as an infielder, appearing in 118 games.
Jake Thielman Pitched two seasons for the St. Louis Cardinals (1905-06), two for the Cleveland Naps (1907-08) and appeared in one game for the Boston Red Sox (1908), posting a 30-28 lifetime record with a 3.16 ERA.
Pat Duff Had one at bat with the Washington Senators in the 1906 season.
Tom O'Hara Played the 1906-07 seasons for the St. Louis Cardinals as an outfielder, posting a .252 batting average in 62 games.
Eddie Zimmerman Played the 1906 season with the St. Louis Cardinals and the 1911 season with the Brooklyn Dodgers, both at third base. He appeared in 122 of his 127 career games in 1911, batting .185 with three homers and 36 RBI.
Cotton Minahan Pitched in two games for the Cincinnati Reds in the 1907 season.
Chris Mahoney Pitched in one game for the Boston Red Sox in the 1910 season.
George Chalmers Played seven seasons for the Philadelphia Phillies (1910-1916), posting a 29-41 record with a 3.41 ERA over 121 games. Won a career-high 13 games in the 1911 season.
Dick Cotter Played 46 career games at catcher for the Philadelphia Phillies (1911) and Chicago Cubs (1912), posting a .280 career batting average.
Jim Hanley '10 Pitched one season (1913) for the New York Yankees.
Charles Meara '08 Played four games fot the New York Yankees in the 1914 season, abtting .286.
John "Buddy" Hassett '33 Played seven Major League seasons with the Brooklyn Dogers (3), Boston Braves (3) and New York Yankees (1). His lifetime batting average and slugging percentage are .292 and .362, respectively. Batted .333 in the 1942 World Series for the Yankees.
Nick Tremark '34 Played outfield for the Brooklyn Dogers from 1935-37. Had a lifetime batting average of .250 and a slugging percentage of .301.
Anton Karl '35 Pitched for the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Braves from 1943-47. Posted a 19-23 record as a starter and an 18-19 mark with 26 saves in relief.
Joe Gallagher Played during the 1939 and 1940 seasons with the New York Yankees, St. Louis Browns and Brooklyn Dogers. An outfielder, Gallagher was best known as a long-ball threat off the bench. Hit 26 doubles, 5 triples and 16 homers while batting .273, with a slugging percentage of .446.
Xavier Rescigno '37 Pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1943-45. Had 19 wins as a starter and a 14-12 record with 16 saves as a reliever.
Chuck Schilling '61 Hit .240 as a second baseman with the Boston Red Sox from 1961-65. Broke Jackie Robinson's second base fielding record.
Bob Chlupsa '67 Relief pitcher or the St. Louis Cardinals during the 1970 and 1971 seasons.
Mark Connors '71 Former New York Yankee pitching coach. Had been a roving minor league pitching coach for years. Head coach of Tennessee in 1988-89.
Tom Waddel '81 Relief pitcher for the Cleveland Indians in 1985 and 1986. Signed a $350,000 arbitration contract in 1987.
Neil Longo Neil Longo, the Jaspers' top pitcher during the 1998 season, was a ninth-round selection of the Seattle Mariners in the 1998 Major League Draft during his junior year.
Scott Martin Signed by the Long Island Ducks. In 2002, signed as a free agent with the San Diego Padres. Played the 2003 and 2004 seasons with the Brockton Rocks of the Independent Northeast League.
Ryan Darcy '03 Signed by the New Jersey Jackals of the Northeast League following the 2003 season.
Matt Cucurullo '04 Signed by the Elmira Pioneers of the Northeast League following the 2004 season. Played for the Brockton Rox of the same league in 2005.
Mike Parisi Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the ninth round of the 2004 MLB Draft. Won a Florida State League Championship with the Palm Beach Cardinals in the 2005 season. Played the 2006 season with the Double A Springfield Cardinals of the Texas League, and was the winning pitcher in the inagural game at the new Busch Stadium, featuring the Cardinals Double A vs. Triple A squads. Reported to the Cardinals’ Major League Spring Training Camp in 2007. Played the 2007 season with the AAA Memphis Redbirds, and was named to the 40-man roster on November 20, 2007. After spending the beginning of the 2008 season in the minors, the St. Louis Cardinals called Parisi up to the big leagues on May 3. Two days later he made his major league debut coming out of the bullpen. Parisi tossed two scoreless innings helping the Cardinals to a 6-5 victory over the Colorado Rockies. On May 31, he made his first major league start against the Pittsburgh Pirates in St. Louis. Assigned to the Cardinals' Triple-A affiliate Memphis Redbirds of the Pacific Coast League for the 2009 season. Played for the Iowa Cubs in 2010, a Triple A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs organization, before his assignment to Double A Tennessee Smokies of the Southern League. Spent part of the 2011 season with the Triple A Albuquerque Isotopes. Started nine games for the Triple A Albuquerque Isotopes of the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.
Chris Gaskin Drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 23rd round of the 2004 MLB Draft. Played with the Short Season Class A Boise Hawks (Northwest League) during the 2005 season. Played for the New Haven County Cutters of the Can-Am League in 2006 and 2007.
Steve Bronder Signed into the Chicago Cubs organization. Played for the Mesa Cubs in the Arizona Rookie League in the summer of 2005, before playing with the Daytona Cubs of the Florida State League in 2006.
Chris Cody '06 Drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the eighth round of the 2006 MLB Draft. Played the 2006 season for the Oneonta Tigers of the New York-Penn League. Was named a Full A Mid-West League All-Star team in 2007 before being promoted to Advanced A and subsequently being traded to the Milwaukee Brewer organization for a Major League reliever. Began the 2008 season with the West Virginia Power, a Class A South Atlantic League affiliate of the Brewers. Promoted to the Triple-A Nashville Sounds after beginning the 2009 campaign with the Brewers' Double-A affiliate Huntsville Stars. Played the 2010 season in Double A with the Huntsville Stars. Spent part of the 2011 season with the Double A Mississippi Braves.
John Fitzpatrick '06 Signed as a free agent into the Pittsburgh Pirates organization in 2007. Was promoted to the Short Season A State College Spikes.
Jesse Darcy '07 Drafted in the 38th round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays, and played the 2007 season for the Short Season A Hudson Valley Renegades. Played the 2008 season with the Columbus Catfish, a Class A South Atlantic League affiliate of the Rays. Named 2008 Pitcher of the Year for the Catfish as announced by the Tampa Bay Rays organization. Played the 2009 season with the Class-A Charlotte Stone Crabs of the Florida State League.
Nick Derba '07 Drafted in the 30th round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. Was promoted to the Swing of the Quad Cities (Full A) after beginning the 2007 season with the Short Season A Batavia Muckdogs. Played the 2008 season with the Palm Beach Cardinals of the Class A Advanced Florida State League. Promoted to St. Louis Double-A affiliate Springfield Cardinals after beginning the 2009 season with the Class-A Palm Beach Cardinals. Promoted to Triple A Memphis Redbirds of the Cardinals organization for a brief stint in 2010 before returning to Single A Palm Beach and finishing the season in Double A with the Springfield Cardinals. Began the 2011 season with the Double A Springfield Cardinals before finishing off the year with the Triple A Memphis Redbirds. Started the 2012 season with the Double A Springfield Cardinals and completed the season with the Triple A Memphis Redbirds.
Matt Rizzotti Drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the sixth round of the 2007 MLB Draft. Played the 2007 season for the Williamsport Crosscutters of the New York-Penn League. Played 2008 season with the Lakewood Blueclaws a Class A South Atlantic League affiliate of the Phillies. Spent the 2009 campaign with the Clearwater Thrashers of the Class A Advanced Florida State League. Finished the 2010 campaign playing in Triple A for the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs of the Philadelphia Phillies organization. Began the 2010 campaign with Clearwater and made a brief stop in Double A with the Redding Phillies. Rizzotti was added to the 2011 Phillies 40-man roster, earning an invite to Spring Training. Played the 2011 season with the Double A Reading Phillies. Began the 2012 season with the Double A New Britain Rock Cats of the Minnesota Twins organization, and finished the year with the Rochester Red Wins, the Twins Triple A affiliate. Also spent time during the 2012 campaign with the Midland RockHounds the Double A affiliate of the Oakland A's.
Josh Santerre '07 Signed as a free agent into the Kansas City Royals organization in 2007. Pitched for the Arizona League Royals in 2007. Pitched for the Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League in 2008.
Rene Ruiz '07 Signed with the Big Bend Cowboys of the Continental Baseball League for the 2009 season.
Dom Lombardi '08 Signed with the Midwest Sliders of the Frontier League. Played with the club for the 2008 & 2009 seasons.
Chad Salem '11 Signed with the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League, playing the final 15 games of the 2011 season.
Anthony Vega Drafted in the 30th Round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft by the Baltimore Orioles. Played three seasons in hte Orioles' organization, reaching Low-A with Delmarva. Has played the last three years in the Atlantic League and is currently a member of the Long Island Ducks. 
Taylor Sewitt '12 Signed professional contract to play independent ball for the Gary Railcats of the American Association in 2013 before moving on to Winnipeg. Played the 2014 season with Winnipeg.
Ramon Ortega '13 Inked a contract with Frontier of the Frontier League in 2014 before playing with Winnipeg of the American Association in 2015.
Brendan Slattery '14 Signed with Southern Illinois of the Frontier League in 2015 before moving to Sioux City in the American Association. Played the 2016 season with Sioux City.
Christian Santisteban '16 Signed with Traverse City of the Frontier League in 2016.
Tom Cosgrove Drafted in the 12th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft by the San Diego Padres. Played last year with the High-A Lake Elsinore Storm.
Jose Carrera '17 Signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Yankees. Began his pro career in the Gulf Coast League.
Joe Jacques '18 Drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 33rd round of the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft. Played last year with the Double-A Altoona Curve.
Fabian Pena '19 Drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 25th round of the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft. Played last year with High-A San Jose Giants.
John Cain Signed as an undrafted free agent by the Los Angeles Angels, playing last year in the Arizona League.
