DOUBLE-DOWN
Andujar recorded a pair of double-doubles against Iona and has eight on the year and has 12 for his career.

DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE
The Jaspers are 16-8 when Andujar scores in double-figures and 2-5 when he doesn't.

HONORING HEIMALL

DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE
Andujar (22) and Richards (20) each scored at least 20 points in the same game for the fourth time this season in Manhattan's 79-70 win over Fairfield.

When playing at Draddy Gymnasium, the Jaspers went 9-2 this year and have won 13-of-15 and 18-of-21.

HIGH FIVE
The Jaspers had five double-figure scorers in the win against Niagara for the first time since last year's opener at La Salle.

RICHARDS GETS MANHATTAN BACK ON TRACK
After going 12-4 in true road games a year ago, Manhattan won its first road game of the year at Canisius by a 63-60 count thanks to a game-high 18 points and a career-best 10 rebounds from Richards.

MORE RICHARDS
Richards' performance was fueled by five triples, which also marked the first time in his career that the school's three-point leader had converted at least three in four-straight games.

CAPTAIN CLUTCH
Three of Richards' five three pointers in Buffalo came after Canisius took the lead. All told, the Golden Griffins held the lead on four different occasions only to see the Jaspers reclaim their advantage on the subsequent possession each time.

THE LINE
Manhattan converted on a season-high 84.0 percent (21-of-25) from the line at Saint Peter's and closed out the victory by making good on 90.9 percent (10-of-11) after sealing the Niagara win by converting 14-straight.

BATTLE OF THE BRONX RECAP

* Andujar was named the Mike Cohen MVP after scoring 14 points with nine rebounds against the Rams after also earning MVP accolades in the annual rivalry game as a freshman.
* Former New York City Mayor and 1965 graduate Rudy Giuliani was on hand for the win over Fordham.

COMEBACK KIDS
The Jaspers erased a 12-point deficit in avenging last season's loss to Fordham while overcoming its largest deficit since overcoming an 18-point Iona lead in a 75-72 win in New Rochelle on Jan. 12, 2012. All told, Manhattan now has eight victories when trailing by double-figures during Masiello's four-year tenure.

NON-LEAGUE RECAP
Thanks to back-to-back victories over Fordham and Morgan State, the Jaspers finished up non-conference play with a 3-6 record. The wins also closed out a grueling slate that saw Manhattan play six games vs. teams from the Atlantic 10, ACC and Big Ten with eight of the nine games being played away from Riverdale.

BACK-AND-FORTH TO SAY THE LEAST
The 73-69 victory over Morgan State featured 18 lead changes and 12 ties as the Jaspers were led by Richards, who scored a game-high 20 points. He was 4-of-6 from long range, while breaking Devon Austin's three-point record with his 166th career trey.

STEVENSON JOINS THE TEAM
Prior to the Pittsburgh game, Julius Stevenson was welcomed to the Manhattan family and sat directly behind the team bench. Stevenson was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) on July 22. CML is a chronic form of Leukemia that is commonly found people that are over the age of 60.

RETURN TO THE GARDEN
The Jaspers squared off with Rutgers at Madison Square Garden and played at the World's Most Famous Arena for the first time since dropping a 71-51 decision to Iona on Jan. 24, 2009 and were led by Andujar, who scored 21 points with nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.

GOOD START(S)
Manhattan held both Marist and Fairfield without a field goal for exactly 8:31 to start their respective games. The Red Foxes misfired on their first nine shots while the Stags were errant on their first 10.

YOU ALWAYS DOUBLE DOWN
Andujar led the charge against Marist with 15 points, 15 rebounds and a career-best matching eight assists while narrowly missing the first triple-double in school history.

NOTABLE
Andujar's 15 caroms were the most by a Jasper student-athlete since Rhamel Brown pulled down 17 against Iona on Feb. 15, 2013.

RICHARDS, WILSON & PANKEY SET CAREER-HIGHS
* Richards scored a career-high 24 points while also handing out a personal-best five assists, against no turnovers, in leading Manhattan to a 78-63 win over Binghamton in the first game of the 2014 Basketball Hall of Fame (HOF) Tip-Off Springfield Bracket.
* Pankey scored a career-high 23 points on the strength of a career-best matching eight field goals over a personal-best 38 minutes of action against Fairfield.
* Wilson notched a career-best matching 15 points and career-highs of 11 free throws and seven assists at George Mason.

RICHARDS EARNS ALL-TOURNAMENT HONORS

SECOND-HALF IMPROVEMENT
Andujar (9.5 ppg - 6.7 ppg) and Pankey (8.3 ppg - 5.1 ppg) have improved their scoring by more than two points after halftime this season compared to the first half.

NATIONALLY SPEAKING
Williams' alley oop dunk off a pass from Andujar at UMass with 0.8 seconds forced overtime while garnering top billing on SportsCenter's top plays for Tuesday, Nov. 18.

INTERESTING
Masiello was named at one of the “25 Most Intriguing Coaches” in college basketball by Yahoo and has twice been named as the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Coach of the Year (2012 | 2014) but has never earned top billing from the MAAC.

MEET THE STAFF
Masiello is on the bench by Matt Grady, Rasheen Davis, Mike Bramucci, Stephen Elmore, Roberto Colonette, Heshimu Evans and Kidani Brutus. Grady, who is in his fourth year, and Davis, who is in his third, will serve as Associate Head Coaches while Bramucci will be an assistant coach in his second season after returning to Riverdale last year as the Director of Men's Basketball Operations. Elmore, who arrives from The Citadel, will assume Bramucci's position from a year ago while Colonette will again be the Strength & Conditioning Coach. Evans, meanwhile, joins the staff as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach after a 15-year professional career. Evans played two seasons at Manhattan as a collegian and two more at Kentucky where he helped the Wildcats to the 1998 NCAA National Championship. The appointment of Brutus, a former Jasper standout like Colonette, as a Special Assistant to Masiello rounds out the coaching staff.

SO HARD TO SAY GOODBYE
For the first time in Masiello's tenure on Riverdale he will not have the luxury of having the trio of Michael Alvarado, George Beamon and Rhamel Brown at his disposal. All three notched over 1,000 points and have begun their professional careers. Beamon, a two-time MAAC First Team Selection and MAAC Championships MVP, was recently picked in the Third Round of the NBA Development League Draft by the Oklahoma City Blue while Brown, a three-time MAAC Defensive Player of the Year, is playing in Israel. Alvarado, a Third Team All-MAAC pick, played this past summer in Puerto Rico. The trio accounted for 50.4 percent of the offense and 38.7 percent of the rebounding.

109TH SEASON OF JASPERS BASKETBALL
In its 109th season, the Manhattan men's basketball program boasts a 1327-1169 overall record and 271-282 MAAC mark in 35 seasons as a conference member. The Jaspers' storied men's basketball team was established in 1904-05 and served a two-year hiatus during the 1943-44 and 1944-45 season due to World War II.

WHAT'S A JASPER?
The unique nickname of Manhattan College's athletic teams, the Jaspers, comes from one of the College's most memorable figures, Brother Jasper of Mary, F.S.C., who served as the College's athletic director in the late 19th century. One of the greatest achievements of Brother Jasper was that he brought the then little-known sport@ of baseball to Manhattan College and became the team's first coach. Since Brother Jasper was also the Prefect of Discipline, he supervised the student fans at Manhattan baseball games while also directing the team itself. During one particularly warm and humid day when the college was playing a semi-pro baseball team called the Metropolitans, Brother Jasper noticed the Manhattan students were becoming restless and edgy with the team coming to bat in the seventh inning of a close game. To relieve the tension, Brother Jasper called timeout and told the students to stand up and stretch for a few minutes until the game resumed. Since the College annually played the New York Giants in the late 1880's and into the 1890's at the old Polo Grounds, the Manhattan College practice of the “seventh inning stretch” spread into the major leagues, where it has now become a time-honored custom practiced by millions of fans annually.
