Manhattan Returns To Action At No. 6 Miami

Miami, FL - After a solid start to the season in Virginia, the Manhattan (1-2) returns to action this weekend at No. 6 Miami (6-2) with three games at Mark Light Field starting on Friday, March 4 at 7:00 pm. All three games will be streamed live through ESPN3.

All-Time Against the "U"
The Jaspers are just 1-5 against Miami, but defeated the No. 10 Hurricanes 12-7 in the teams' last match-up on February 28, 2010.

Was the last by a Manhattan squad over a ranked team.

Did You Know??
This is the 10-year anniversary of the Jaspers' second-place finish at the Lincoln Regional, which was won by Miami. The Hurricanes won twice against Manhattan while also having beaten the Riverdale-based school earlier in the year.

Head Coach Jim Duffy's roster features seven student-athlets from the state of Florida.

Happy Returns
Junior Jose Carrera hit .375 (6-of-16) with three runs, two doubles, two stolen bases and a triple last weekend after missing the final 30-plus games of 2015 due to injury.

Pena Starts Strong
Freshman Fabian Pena had an impressive debut with the Jaspers, notching multiple hits in all three games last en route to earning MAAC Rookie of the Week honors. Pena batted a team-best .583 (7-of-12) with four runs, two doubles, two RBI and two walks.

Start Me Up
Sophomore LHP Tom Cosgrove and junior RHP Joey Rocchietti, Manhattan's game one and two starters, combined to allow just two earned runs over 10.1 innings of action with nine strikeouts last weekend.
