JSN Weekend Preview
Riverdale, NY - Manhattan (4-13) and Lehigh (6-12) will lock horns for a three-game set this weekend. The teams will begin their series at 3:00 pm on Friday, March 25 at Legacy Park in Bethlehem, PA before concluding the three-game set with a 12:00 pm doubleheader on Saturday, March 26 at Dutchess Stadium.

Last Time Out
The Jaspers used a total effort in defeating Hofstra by a 5-1 count this past Tuesday at Dutchess Stadium. Freshman Marc Galvan earned his first collegiate win, striking out four while yielding just one unearned run on two hits over 5.0 innings of work. Classmate Fabian Pena led a 10-hit attack on offense, finishing up 3-for-3 with two RBI and two doubles.
Rookie In Name Only
Pena has been outstanding in his first season at Manhattan and leads the squad in batting (.313), hits (20), doubles (7), home runs (2), RBI (13), slugging (.516), multi-hit games (7) and multi-RBI game (4). Additionally, he has gunned out an incredible 61.9 percent (13-of-21) of runners trying to steal.

Pfenninger Picks It Up
Sophomore Michael Pfenninger has hit safely in each of the last four games, batting .357 (5-for-14) after hitting just .179 (7-for-37) to start the season.
Quality Start(s)
Despite dropping all three games last week at Seton Hall, the Manhattan starting trio of sophomore LHP Tom Cosgrove, junior RHP Joey Rocchietti and junior LHP Joe Jacques combined to post a 2.08 ERA with 14 strikeouts over 21.2 innings. During that time each pitcher allowed two earned runs or less while working at least 6.2 innings.
Santisteban Keeps Slugging
Preseason MAAC Player of the Year senior Christian Santisteban is batting .303 with a team-leading 11 runs, 11 walks and a .410 OBP while adding five doubles, one home run and nine RBI.

Nine of the Jaspers' 15 position players that have seen action this year are underclassmen.
Kanwisher, Scarinci Lead The Bullpen
Junior Shawn Kanwisher closed out Manhattan's 5-1 victory over Hofstra by striking out the side and has 15 K's against just one walk over 13.1 innings while limiting opposing hitters to a .208 average. Additionally, he has struck out the side in three times. Senior Michael Scarinci, meanwhile, has made a team-best nine appearances with 13 stirkeouts and a 2.77 ERA over 13.0 innings.
Tournament Tested
Thanks to this weekend's series with Lehigh, 10 of the Jaspers' first 20 games will have come against teams that qualified for NCAA Regional play a year ago.
