Miami, FL - Manhattan rallied for a 7-6 victory 10-inning victory in the nightcap at FIU after dropping the opener at the FIU Field by a 5-2 count.

The Jaspers are now 3-8 while the Panthers are 8-10.

Game Two Recap:
Never say die Manhattan rallied from three deficits to garner a split of Saturday's doubleheader with FIU, the last of which came on junior Jose Carrera's (Miami, FL / St. Brendan) 10th-inning game-winning RBI single.

Trailing 6-4 in top of the ninth, the Jaspers forced extras thanks to plating a pair of runs. Carrera led off the frame with a walk before advancing to third on senior Christian Santisteban's (Miami, FL / Gulliver Prep) single through the left side. The duo then came around to score on two-time reigning MAAC Rookie of the Week Fabian Pena's (Miami, FL / Calusa Prep) two-run double down the left field line.

After tying it up, junior Shawn Kanwisher (Washington Township, NJ / St. Joseph Regional) slammed the door in the bottom part of the frame before working around a leadoff single in the 10th in notching his second win of the week.

The Golden Panthers opened the scoring with three runs in the bottom of the first and appeared poised to put the game out of reach until sophomore Ryan Gronlier (Doral, FL / Doral Academy) answered with a three-run homer in the top of the second.

FIU reclaimed the lead in the bottom of the fourth with a single score only to have Manhattan immediately tie it up on a Santisteban RBI ground out.

Carrera went 3-for-5 with two runs, two stolen bases, a RBI and a walk while sophomore Adam Genners (Jacksonville, FL / Stanton College Prep) had a hit and three walks to pace the Jasper attack, which rapped out 12 hits and saw eight of nine regulars reach base safely.

Kanwisher (2-0) struck out two over 3.0 scoreless frames of two-hit ball.

Eddie Silva was 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and two RBI to lead the way for the Golden Panthers.

Game One Recap:
Christopher Mourelle struck out four over 7.0 scoreless frames to lead FIU to a 5-2 wire-to-wire win over Manhattan in the opener.

Santisteban, who has reached base safely in all 11 games this year, led the way for the Jaspers, finishing up 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run and a RBI.

Junior RHP Joey Rocchietti (Green Brook, NJ / Watchung Hills) fell to 1-2 on the year, striking out three over 6.2 innings.
