RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan College baseball team will begin its run for the 2010 MAAC Championship on Wednesday as the #4 seed Jaspers face top-seed Canisius (37-19, 19-5) in an opening round match up at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, N.Y. Manhattan (30-18, 15-9) backed its way into the MAAC Tournament by winning five of its last six conference games. The Jaspers secured its bid in the regular-season finale on Friday coming back from a 12 run deficit to earn a 19-18 extra inning victory over Siena at Van Cortlandt Park. The MAAC Champion will earn the league's automatic bid to the 2010 NCAA Tournament.
