RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan baseball team returns to Van Cortlandt Park for its highly anticipated home opener on Saturday at noon versus local MAAC rival Saint Peter's (8-13, 2-1 MAAC). The Jaspers look to continue its home field dominance posting a 55-13-1 (.804) record at Van Cortlandt Park in the last four years under the direction of 2009 MAAC Coach of the Year Kevin Leighton. Live stats will be available for the doubleheader and fans can also track the action through a live interactive blog at GoJaspers.com.

Manhattan is off to 11-9 overall record spending the first 20 games of the season on the road. The Jaspers road tour featured non-conference series victories at BIG EAST member West Virginia and Delaware. Manhattan looks to bounce back after surrendering two of three games in its conference opener last weekend at Marist. Saint Peter's was selected to finish eighth of the nine teams according to the 2010 MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, but the Peacocks are off to a 2-1 league start winning their home series against Fairfield.

The teams will complete the three game series on Monday with the final contest which begins at 12 p.m.
