RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Just over 10 months after their extra inning barnburner at the MAAC Championships, the Manhattan baseball team will meet Marist (9-8) to open conference play this weekend in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. The Jaspers look for revenge against the Red Foxes after suffering a 4-3 loss in the 11th inning of the winners' bracket game prompting the regular-season champs early exit from the tournament. The loss snapped Manhattan's 10 game win streak over Marist, which dated back to 2007. The clubs will begin the three game series on Saturday with a doubleheader starting at noon and then return to action on Sunday for the final game at noon.

Fans can listen to all the action live on the internet from McCann Field courtesy of the Marist broadcast team. Live stats are also available for all three games this weekend.

Manhattan (10-7) has won two of its last three weekend series taking two of three games at BIG EAST member West Virginia and three of four games at Delaware. The Jaspers high-powered offense is led by upperclassmen Mark Onorati (.418, 10 doubles), Chad Salem (.411, 4 HR, 22 RBI) and 2010 MAAC Preseason Player of the Year Kevin Nieto (.406, 12 RBI, 6 SB). Manhattan leads the MAAC averaging 8.6 runs per game, .327 batting average, .490 slugging pct., and .436 on-base pct.
