Homestead, FL(March 13, 2004)-Manhattan lost to the University of Pittsburgh, 15-10. The Jaspers had a nine run lead going into the bottom of the sixth but could not hold on as the Panthers tied the game earning seven hits at the Homestead Sports Complex Saturday night. The loss drops the Jaspers to a 4-5 overall record.

John Maser opened the scoring in the second inning after freshman
Sam Deluca hit a single. The Jaspers would go on to make the score 4-0 at the end of the second. Manhattan added three more runs in the third, making the score 7-0. Manhattan would score two more runs before the Panthers would go on their nine run streak in the sixth. Pittsburgh took the lead in the seventh inning scoring six runs and never looked back.

Chris Gaskin hit two RBIs and scored two runs for Manhattan while, Senior
Matt Cucurullo earned two runs and a RBI for Manhattan.
The Jaspers compete again on Sunday, 14th at 1pm against Temple University in Homestead, FL.
