Hempstead, NY (September 6, 2003) - The Lady Jaspers suffer defeat from Albany today at the Hofstra Tournament. Manhattan lost in five matches, with scores of 25-30, 30-32, 30-25, 30-24, and 15-13, with the loss Manhattan falls to 0-4 on the season. With the win Albany placed first in the tournament.

Krista Thorsen had a great performance with 16 kills, 32 digs and a .382 hitting average. Senior tri-captain
Luka Van Cauteren chipped in with her third triple double of the season, knotting 19 kills, 27 assists and 17 digs. Sophomore
Megan O'Dorisio also had a solid game with 10 kills and 10 digs.
The Albany great danes in the victory had four players with ten kills or more and had five players with 12 digs or more. Kristin Norton notched 17 kills, 5 digs and recorded a .351 hitting percentage, also Ashlee Reed tallied 10 kills, 13 digs with a .308 hitting percentage.
The Lady Jaspers face Hofstra University today at 4pm. The two teams will battle for second place in the tournament.
