Jersey City, NJ (October 1, 2003)- The Lady Jaspers defeated the St. Peter's Peahens tonight, in Manhattan's first match of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference season. Manhattan dropped St. Peter's with the scores of 30-21, 26-30, 30-22, and 30-27. Senior tri-captain
Luka Van Cauteren led the way for the Lady Jaspers with her 11th triple double of the season, recording 26 kills, 28 assists and 11 digs, along with an outstanding .611 hitting percentage.
Sophomore
Maggie Pfeifer helped lead Manhattan to victory with 13 kills and a .520 hitting percentage. Senior tri-captain
Krista Thorsen added 9 kills and 11 digs, and senior tri-captain
Jaime Pavel recorded 17 digs, helping Manhattan notch its 4th win of the season.
Freshman Tara Teslaa led the Peahens with 21 kills and 6 digs. Junior Tzvetomila Dotcheva added 17 kills and 11 digs with a .378 hitting percentage.
Manhattan is back in action on Friday when the Lady Jaspers head back home for their second home game of the season, against Wagner at 7 pm.
