WEST POINT, N.Y. — Manhattan Men's Track and Field wrapped up a busy day of events on Saturday at the West Point Open. The Jaspers went toe to toe with student-athletes from Army, Le Moyne and a host of DII and DIII schools from around northeast.
HIGHLIGHTS

Junior Jaxon Newton secured first place in the Men's 3000M with a time of 8:42.44. Freshman Joshua Mingoia (9:14.62) and senior Jack Flanagan (9:22.60) finished strong and earned second place and fourth place, respectively.

Junior Alex Bilello notched first place in the long jump with a high score of 6.73 feet, edging out Samuel Chedester of East Stroudsburg. Manhattan sophomore Thomas Dubnov Raz secured sixth place in the event with a high score of 6.55 feet.

To close out the day, graduate student Paul Brennan took first place in the Men's Weight Throw on the strength of an 18.61m throw on his second attempt. Brennan also tossed a personal-best 15.56m in the Men's Shot Put to capture sixth place.

In the Men's 800m, senior Brendan Lucey came in third-place with a time of 2:00.08, which is a career best for the upperclassman. Sophomore Colby Micheels checked in at 2:05.15 for fifth place in the event.

In the Men's 200m, junior Shane McCorry nabbed fourth place at 23.25s and Dubnov Raz was awarded fifth place with a time of 23.37s.

Freshman Rasmus Jaeger engineered a fourth-place finish in the Men's Mile. Jaeger crossed the line at 4:27.66.
