Berlin, CT — Manhattan Golf compiled a record-setting performance for the program this past weekend at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate. After 36 holes, Manhattan sat at +7 and were rewarded with a 6th place finish out of a strong 16-team field.
-Manhattan received clutch performances on back to back days from freshman Cabell Faulkner. After posting a -1 mark on Day 1, Faulkner followed that up with an equal score, using a pair of birdies on the back 9 to settle at his final score. Faulkner posted a T4 for the event which is a new best for the neophyte early in his Jaspers career.
-Freshman Louis Vandeputte hung tough in round two. After posting a -1 and tying Faulkner after round one, Vandeputte still managed to conclude Day 2 at +1 overall after making a crucial birdie on 18. Vandeputte registered a T13 for the event to be the next in line after Faulkner.
-Freshman Róbert Leó Arnórsson matched Vandeputte's second-round performance, submitting a card that read +2 overall for the event to round out the Jaspers' Top 3. Sophomore Akshay Mandadapu was able to add 4 birdies to his name in round two and ended his round with a 75.
