RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Head coach Kerri Inman and the Manhattan men's and women's cross country teams are set to kick off the 2023 campaign at the Marist Opener this Saturday in Poughkeepsie, NY at Vassar Farm.
The 2023 MAAC preseason coaches poll had the Jaspers men's team projected for sixth place with 70 points and the women's team projected for seventh with 67 points.
Competing this weekend at the Marist Opener will be: Siena, Iona, Fairfield, Albany, Sacred Heart, and Delaware Valley State.
The top returner for the men's runners based on the 2022 MAAC XC Championships is Justin Jordanes with a finishing time of 25:57.90.
The top two returners for the women are
Andria Scaglione placing 18th at 22.28.20 and her sister
Nicola Scaglione finishing in a time of 23:16.50.
This weekend is the first of six scheduled meets for the Jaspers before the MAAC Championships on October 28.
