BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - Manhattan golf completed round three of the Shark Invitational today at Brookville Golf Club, completing the tournament in ninth. The Jaspers shot a total team score of 923 (+83) after shooting 314 (+34) in the third and final round. The Jaspers finished one stroke behind Merrimack in eighth.
The top scorer today for the Jaspers was Jimmy Escoto, who shot a 75 (+5) in the final round, a tournament best for him. Three Jaspers finished in the top 40 for the tournament, including Colby Norton finishing with 227 (+17) for the tournament, Escoto, who finished with 229 (+19), and Lincoln Haymaker, who ended with 231 (+21).Â
Siena and Fairleigh Dickinson finished in a tie for first place, shooting 852 (+12) for the tournament. Long Island's Kyle Underwood was the medalist for the tournament, finishing with 209 (-1), the only player to finish the tournament under par.
The Jaspers will next compete in the MAAC Championship in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, from April 21-23. The championships will be played on Disney's Magnolia Golf Course.
