RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Manhattan men's swimming and diving team finished the second day of the MAAC Championships in eighth with 68 points.
Branden Deiss placed 29th in the 500-yard freestyle in the preliminaries with a time of 4:50.96.
Abelardo Cartagena and
Louis Quinn swam the 500-yard free and placed 34th and 38th.
Jack Martin swam in the prelims of the 200-yard IM and recorded a 2:05.43.
Joe Brennan was the best of
Jonathan Carsen,
Andrew Lebak,
Christian Skaff,
Islam Yousri,
Jorge Flechas, and
Vinny Tramontana for the Jaspers in the 50-yard freestyle. Brennan touched the wall at 21.55.
In the time trials, Quinn finished the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.55.
The men also swam in the 200-yard freestyle relay, placing eight with a final time of 1:27.07, earning the Jaspers 22 points. The team was made up of Lebak, Brennan, Skaff, and Carsen.
