RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan Track and Field teams have their sights locked in on one of the largest meets of the year, the indoor Metropolitan Championships.
This year's one-day meet will take place on Friday on Staten Island at the Ocean Breeze complex, where the team ran at the MLK tribute earlier in the season. Live results for the meet can be found

Last week, the Jaspers ran in a pair of events, with some of the team staying local and running at the Armory for the Dr. Sander Invitational, while others traveled to former MAAC member Monmouth for the Monmouth Winter Invitational.
At the Armory, Manhattan performed exceptionally well. While competing against Power Five schools such as UCLA, Maryland, and NC State, the Green and White Rose to the occasion with multiple PRs.
RJ Decker came in second in the weight throw with a new PR of 20.53m, which also is an IC4A qualifying mark. Other PRs from the meet include
Myron Corpuz in the weight throw (13.02m) and
Michael Hennelly in the 5000m (14:33.81), which also puts him above the clip for IC4A qualifying.
Kaya Simpson also set a new personal best, running an 8.41 in the 60m hurdles.
As for the contingent who went to West Long Branch,
Bella Cannizzo took home the 3000m crown, finishing the race in 11:05.64. Other top performers from the meet include
Justin Jordaens winning the 800m in 1:57.78, and
Brendan Chan coming home in second in the 3000m (9:26.94).
