Jaspers Finish Play at Hartford Hawks Invitational

SOUTH KENT, Conn. – Manhattan golf concluded the Hartford Hawk Invitational, finishing in 15th place, posting a team score of 915 (+51) over the three rounds.
 
Manhattan finished round two Tuesday, shooting 301 (+13) as a team. The team leaders were a 70 (-2) effort from David Mlynek and a 75 (+3) from Colby Norton.
 
The final round of play started immediately after the conclusion of round two. Manhattan finished their final round with a 305 (+17). Leaders for the Jaspers were Mlynek, shooting a 71 (-1), and Norton, shooting a 75 (+3).
 
Mlynek put together a solid performance throughout the tournament shooting a 212 (-4) throughout three rounds. This was enough to earn him a 10th place finish individually among the 95 golfers who participated in the tournament.
 
Central Florida won the tournament shooting an 829 (-35) over three rounds, 28 strokes ahead of second place Towson. Individually, the champion was Central Florida's Luis Carrera, who shot a 200 (-16) over the 54-hole event.
 
Manhattan looks to build upon this as they prepare for The Autumn Invitational, taking place October 1-2 at The Lake Placid Club.
