MONTGOMERY, N.Y. –
Michael Hennelly led the way as the Jaspers hosted the Jasper Fall XC Invite Saturday morning.
The team finished fourth in the team scoring as the runners tackled the 8k on the course at the Twin Ponds on the Farm.
Hennelly earned himself a seventh place finish, clocking in a time of 25:36.2. Hennelly made a pair of passes in the final stretch to get his seventh place finish.
Justin Jordaens earned a top-20 finish, coming in 18th with a final time of 26:22.3.
Dean Mayo was the next Jasper to cross the finish line, slotting in at 27th with a time of 26:52.9, a new PR for the freshman.
Jaxon Newton also logged a new PR this morning, coming in 43rd with a time of 28:23.3.
Andrew Simard and
Travis Delaney round out the Jasper to finish in the top 50, with Simard recording a time of 28:42.6 while Delaney posted a 28:47.0, which serves as a new PR.
The Jaspers return to the course in a couple of weeks, competing in the Metropolitan Championships just down the hill from campus at Van Cortlandt Park on Oct. 7.
