FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Manhattan men's swimming and diving team competed in the Fairfield Invitational on Saturday against Fairfield, Central Connecticut State, Wagner, Sacred Heart, and Southern Connecticut State.
In this
weekend's meet, the men placed third in the 200-meter medley relay with a final time of 1:50.89, 2.42 seconds behind Fairfield, who took first and second. This
placement won the Jaspers 24 points.
For individual races,
Jonathan Carsen placed fourth in the 50-meter freestyle race at a time of 24.86. The Jaspers also placed sixth in this race credited to
Joe Brennan with a finishing time of 25.42. These two placements earned Manhattan 20 points towards its total.
The
men's team also placed sixth in the 400-meter freestyle relay with a finishing time of 3:52.75, 2.07 seconds behind Wagner in fifth.
Manhattans men's swimming & diving team competes again next Friday, October 14th, at 6 p.m. at Fordham.
