Jaspers Return to Van Cortlandt for ECAC Championships

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan women's cross country team had its final tune-up before the MAAC Championship, running in the ECAC Championships at Van Cortlandt Park Friday morning.

The Jaspers raced alongside 34 schools, most of which were from the northeast.

Andria Scaglione, who finished 29th (22:08.5) in a field of 338 runners, led the Jaspers. Her sister, Nicola Scaglione was the next to cross the finish line, finishing her race in 23:24.3.

Evelyn Gonzalez Valle finished her race in 24:24.4, while Bella Cannizzo clocked in a time of 24:40.8.

Fiona Mohl came in with a time of 25:18.2. The final two runners to compete for the Green and White were Margaret Pappas, 25:59.4, and Kylie Conroy, 26:42.3.

The MAAC Championships are next up for the Jaspers, who will return to the Crossing of Colonie in Albany, N.Y., on Saturday, Oct. 29.
