RIVERDALE, N.Y.— The Manhattan men's cross country team took to the course one last time before the MAAC Championship, running in the IC4A Championships at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday.
The Jaspers shared the course with 31 other schools, most located in the northeast.
Pacing the Green and White on Friday afternoon was last week's Ready Nutrition MAAC Runner of the Week,
Michael Hennelly, who finished in 82nd with a final time of 25:50.1. The next member of the Green and White to cross the finish line was
Justin Jordaens, who came in 139th (26:55.0).
Jaxon Newton made his IC4A debut with a finish of 283rd with a time of 28:01.9.
Dean Mayo finished his race in 28:13.4 in his debut.
Brendan Lucey clocked in a time of 28:32.5 while two more Jaspers made their IC4A debuts in
Andrew Simard and
Jack Flanagan, who finished in 28:41.9 and 28:47.2, respectively.
Rounding out the Jasper contingent this afternoon was
Brendan Chan (30:46.6) and
Peter Ackermann (34:23.3).
The MAAC Championship has the Jaspers returning to the Crossings at Colonie on Oct. 29 in Albany, N.Y.
