Montgomery, NY - The Manhattan Men's Cross Country team placed third at the 8K Jasper Fall XC Invitational, while the women took seventh at the 6K event at Twin Ponds on the Farm.
* Graduate student
Pelle Nogueira posted a time of 25:25.3 to finish in fourth while again pacing the Green & White.
* Seniors
Michael Hennelly (7th-25:52.3) and
Ryan Tierney (8th-25:57.8) also earned top-10 finishes.
* Classmate
Liam Farrell was 30th (26:52.1), and senior
David Lozipone took 39th (27:06.50) to round out the Manhattan scorers.
* Fordham won the team title with 47 points.
* On the women's side, juniorÂ
Rory Graham paced the Jaspers in 33rd place (24:10.6).
* JuniorÂ
Nicola Scaglione was 38th (24:29.0), followed by senior
Shayna Arrigo in 40th (24:40.9).
* Rounding out the scorers for the Green & White were senior
Erin Clinton (44th-25:28.7) and freshman
Kylie Conroy (48th-26:00.0).
* Rider won the team title with 51 points.
* Both teams return to action on Friday, October 8 with the Metropolitan Championships at VCP.
