Springfield, MA - Junior Nina Bjorkman (Vasteras, Sweden / Widenska Idrottsgymnasium) opened up action for Manhattan at the 2021 IC4A/ECAC Championships at the John G. Hoyt '52 Track & Field Complex.

* Fresh off her team-best 20-point performance at last weekend's MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, posted a distance of 49.78 meters in placing 11th in the hammer throw.

* Senior Lasma Padedze (Ogre, Lativia / Ogre Secondary School No. 1), classmate Alexandra Preckajlo (Ocean, NJ / St. Rose), senior Cassie Riley (Fair Haven, NJ / Red Bank Catholic) and sophomore Andria Scaglione (Oceanside, NY / Oceanside) will compete tomorrow on day two of the IC4A/ECAC Championships.
