West Long Branch, NJ - Competing for the third time this week, the Manhattan men's and women's track and field teams posted a number of impressive performances at Kessler Stadium.

* The Jaspers registered three victories on the afternoon, and five second-place finishes.

* Senior Alexandra Preckajlo (Ocean, NJ / St. Rose) won the shot put with a personal-best toss of 14.79 meters, with classmate Lasma Padedze (Ogre, Latvia / Ogre Secondary School No. 1) finishing second with a throw of 14.40 meters.

* Senior Nina Bjorkman (Vasteras, Sweden / Widenska Idrottsgymnasium) took home top honors in the discus with a personal-best throw of 47.55 meters, with Padedze finishing second at 45.93 meters.

* Bjorkman also had a strong showing in the hammer throw, placing second with a throw of 48.21 meters.

* Junior Andria Scaglione (Oceanside, NY / Oceanside) won the 5000 meters in a time of 17:21.65.

* In the pole vault, junior Lilly Brown (Ringwood, NY / Lakeland Regional) matched her personal-best with a leap of 3.35 meters in finishing second.

* Senior Zarah Harris (Montgomery, NY / Valley Central) was second in the 800 meters (2:19.45).

* In the 10000 meters, Pelle Nogueira (Glen Ridge, NJ / TCNJ) took second with a mark of 30:38.36.
