Strong Field Performances Pace Manhattan At St. John's Invitational

Junior Lilly Brown (Ringwood, NY / Lakeland Regional) soared 3.35 meters in winning the pole vault to lead the way for the Manhattan at the St. John's Invitational at Icahn Stadium.

* Senior Alexandra Preckajlo (Ocean, NJ / St. Rose) won the shot put with a toss of 13.64 meters, with classmate Lasma Padedze (Ogre, Latvia / Ogre Secondary School No. 1) taking second with a mark of 13.55 meters.

* In the discus, Padedze took home top honors with a throw of 47.31 meters with Preckajlo finishing second at 44.25 meters.

* On the men's side, freshman Justin Jordaens (Yonkers, NY / Fordham Prep) won the 800-meter dash for the second time this week, finishing first with a mark of 2:01.06.

* Senior Pelle Nogueira (Glen Ridge, NJ / TCNJ) was the top collegiate finisher in the 1500 meters, clocking a 4:08.39 in taking third.

* Manhattan will return to action on Sunday, April 18 at the Monmouth Meet.
