Riverdale, NY — Manhattan opened up their non-conference slate of games on a winning note by picking up a 74-66 win over St. Francis Brooklyn. A 7-0 run late in the fourth quarter on the strength of two layups from Courtney Warley and a three from Dee Dee Davis increased Manhattan's lead to 13 and they never looked back from there.
*Manhattan jumped out to an early 10-1 lead four minutes in following a layup from Warley. A three-pointer from Harvey-Carr ballooned Manhattan's lead to as high as 17 at 29-12 late in the second quarter.
*Dee Dee Davis paced Manhattan scorers with 19 points and connected on two three pointers.
*Brazil Harvey-Carr registered 16 points and eight rebounds while Courtney Warley secured a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
*Emily LaPointe poured in 13 points on an efficient 6-of-10 and added four assists.
*Manhattan shot a robust 35 percent (7-of-20) from three and shot 50 percent overall. St. Francis shot 37 percent for the game.
*Manhattan outrebounded the Terriers 42-31 with Warley and Harvey-Carr combining for 19 boards.
*St. Francis was led by Isabella Posset with 22 points while Ally Lassen added 14 points for the visitors.
*Manhattan will be next in action on Saturday, November 13 when Army pays a visit to Draddy Gym. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
