Riverdale, NY - Junior Dee Dee Davis (Bronx, NY / Preston) scored a season-high 19 points with career-best seven rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Manhattan dropped a 62-50 decision to Northeastern in non-conference action at Draddy Gymnasium.
Early in the fourth quarter, Courtney Warley (Sr., West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) hit a pair from the line to tie it up at 38-38 with 9:47 to play, before Northeastern responded with eight of the next 10 points in opening up a six-point advantage at the 6:45 mark of the stanza.
The Jaspers would trim the deficit to four points three-straight times, only to see the visitors answer with a game-clinching 11-1 run.
Graduate student Gabby Cajou (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) handed out a season-best matching seven assists, against just two turnovers, while Warley had a team-high eight rebounds and two blocks to round out the top statistical performers for Manhattan.
