Results

Farmingdale, NY – Sophomore Sam Taraian (Rehobeth, MA / Dighton-Rehobeth Regional) and Senior Preston Shortell (Oxford, CT / Holy Cross) led the way for Manhattan with top 45 finishes at The Doc Glimmer hosted by St. John's.

Taraian fired 72 and 71 in his final two rounds for an overall score of 220 and a tie for 37th place. Shortell closed the tournament with rounds of 71 and 73 to finish with an overall tally of 221, one shot back of Taraian and in tie for 44th place.

Manhattan finished 13th in the team competition with a three round score of 889 (+49) over the Red course at world famous Bethpage State Park on Long Island.

Sophomore Jimmy Escoto (Laredo, TX / John B. Alexander) and Freshman Lincoln Haymaker (Nashville, TN / Davidson Academy) each carded 224 to finish a tie for 60th position. Junior Justin Ming (Pelham, NY / Pelham) rounded out the Jasper effort with a score of 240.

Navy captured the team title with a final score of 834 (-6). Four golfers shared medalist honors with a final result of 206 (-4).

The Jaspers continue their fall schedule on Thursday September 26 at the Deal Invitational at Deal Country Club hosted by MAAC rival Monmouth.
