LAST WEEK

Manhattan went 2-0 last week, with wins against Iona and Siena. Junior Molly Fitzpatrick netted the game-winner for a second straight year versus the Gaels, scoring with 39.5 seconds left in an 8-7 win. On Senior Day, nine different Jaspers tickled the twine in a wire-to-wire, 17-10 victory.

MILESTONE MAYHEM

In the win over the Saints, senior Sarah Lang became the 20th Jasper in program history to reach 100 career points at Manhattan with a career-high nine points. Junior goalkeeper Nikki Prestiano also had nine saves to move into fourth place in career saves. Her classmate Molly Fitzpatrick earned an assist and is now fifth place all-time with 40 helpers.

SENIOR SMACKDOWN

The Class of 2018 showed out on its Senior Day, accounting for nine goals. Senior Molly Flores scored her first career goal, while Melissa Vogelgesang and Maddie Regal lit the lamp for the first time this season.

TAKING CARE OF THE CAGE

In addition to her career achievement, Prestiano was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week.

FIRST-YEAR FIREPOWER

The freshmen trio of Carmella Liscio, Grace Owens and Alaina Burgess have not only become staples in the starting lineup, but are also capitalizing on their chances. These three have combined to register a point in all but two games and have recorded seven points in the last two games.

MAAC STANDINGS

Entering Wednesday's slate of games, Manhattan is a half-game behind Iona for sixth place, and one and a half games behind its next two opponents, Monmouth and Fairfield. PARITY PARTY

The race for a spot in the postseason will come down to the wire, as no team has been eliminated yet from playoff contention. In the same breath, no seed has been clinched so far. Just two games separate the top-five spots in the league. The six to nine spots have just 2.5

SCOUTING THE HAWKS

Monmouth currently sits in a tie with Fairfield for fourth place with a 3-2 conference record. The Hawks recently fell to Niagara 18-10 on Saturday in New Jersey.

Wednesday marks the ninth meeting all-time between the Jaspers and the Hawks. The last two matchups have been decided in Monmouth's favor by two goals or less. In a 9-7 decision on April 19, 2017, Fitzpatrick led Manhattan with three goals, while Prestiano picked up 12 saves.

ON THE HORIZON

With plenty of postseason implications at stake, the Jaspers entertain the Fairfield Stags in the Bronx on Wednesday, April 25 at 6:00 pm.
