 Fueled by a career-high 16 kills in today's opener, freshman Erin Hoener (St. Louis, MO / Incarnate Word) earned Holy Cross Invitational All-Tournament honors as Manhattan wrapped up weekend play at the Hart Center.
 
Hoener's stats against FDU

Hoener notched 2.10 kills per set on .228 hitting while notching seven blocks and five aces over the Jaspers' three matches.

Manhattan dropped both matches on the day by scores of 3-1 to Fairleigh Dickinson and 3-0 to Holy Cross.

FDU RECAP:
- The Knights defeated Manhattan by scores of 25-16, 19-25, 25-22, 25-17.
- Hoener notched her aforementioned 16 kills on superb .517 hitting.
- The Jaspers took the second set thanks to ripping off six-straight points before closing out the victory on an 8-2 spurt.
- Senior Mary Donnelly (Temecula, CA / Chaparral) registered three kills in the set.
- Junior Alyssa Rehrer (Lorton, VA / South County) had a match-high 20 digs, notching at last 20 for the third time this season.
- Classmate Olyvia Chaltas (Temecula, CA / Great Oak) had a season-high nine kills.
- Manhattan hit a season-high .195 against FDU with a season-best eight aces.
- Junior Zoe Lindsey (McHenry, IL / McHenry CC) registered 37 assists.
- Nataliya Rybakova paced FDU with 10 kills.

HOLY CROSS RECAP:
* The Crusaders bested the Jaspers by scores of 25-20, 25-14, 25-22.
* Senior Sandra Lozanova (Pernik, Bulgaria / Fresno State) had a team-high seven kills.
* Freshman Meagan Miller (Oakville, ON / Oakville Trafalgar) had a career-high five kills on .444 hitting.

Manhattan returns to action on Friday, September 8 at 4:00 pm with a non-conference match-up at Bryant.
