Charlottesville, VA - The Manhattan College Jaspers are set to take on the ACC's Virginia Cavaliers in the team's last non-conference matchup of the season. UVA is the third Power Five conference team that Manhattan has played so far this season. The road trip comes just a week before the Jaspers open up league play against Saint Peter's on December 28 at 7 p.m. in Draddy Gymnasium.

Top Storylines:
  • Freshman center Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) is coming off her best game of the season, a 72-38 win over LIU Brooklyn on Saturday, December 16. Warley posted 14 points and 12 rebounds in her first collegiate start. She was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Week on December 17.
  • Sophomore guard Gabby Cajou (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) continues to lead the MAAC in field-goal percentage, shooting 49.3 percent for the season. Cajou is also fourth in the MAAC for assists per game (3.7), and her 2.1 assist/turnover ratio ranks fifth in the league.
  • Senior center Kayla Grimme (Altoona, PA / Altoona Area) has jumped up another spot on the Jaspers' all-time scoring list. She now ranks 15th at 1,128 points, just behind Bridget Robeson (1,138) who played 95 games for Manhattan from 1984-88.
  • Senior guard Amani Tatum (Cambria Heights, NY / James Madison) currently leads the MAAC in five categories: assists (46), assists per game (4.6), steals (30), steals per game (3.0), and three-point field goal percentage (47.7 percent). She ranks among Division I's top 20 players in three-point field goal percentage and the top 25 for steals per game.
  • The Jaspers are 0-2 all-time against UVA. Manhattan lost to the Cavaliers 100-55 in the first round of the 1996 NCAA Tournament. The Jaspers were a 14 seed in the tournament, receiving the MAAC's automatic bid, while UVA was a three seed and received an at-large bid. Manhattan last faced UVA on November 15, 2009, an 86-68 loss for the Jaspers.
