University Park, PA -
The Manhattan College women's basketball team (2-4) is set for its second power conference matchup of the season, this time against the Big 10's Penn State (6-2). The Jaspers will take on the Nittany Lions at the Bryce Jordan Center on Sunday, December 3 at 2 p.m.

Top Storylines:
  • Sunday's game is a homecoming for senior center Kayla Grimme, who grew up just 45 minutes from the Penn State campus in Altoona, PA. She played high school ball at Altoona Area High School, where she averaged 8.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks while leading the team to the district championship game as a senior. Grimme was named third team all-state after tallying 10.5 points per game as a junior. She also played AAU basketball for the Pennsylvania Pride.
  • Senior guard Amani Tatum (Cambria Heights, NY / James Madison) continues to serve as an anchor for the Jaspers with consistent performances on both sides of the floor. She is the current MAAC leader in assists (5.8 per game) and steals (3.3 per game) this season, while also contributing 12.2 points per game for the Jaspers. She recorded a MAAC-high eight assists against St. Francis Brooklyn on November 18.
  • Having sat out so far this season due to an injury, junior Teniya Page made her first start against the Wake Forest, marking her 63rd career start for Penn State. She scored 21 points, putting her into double-figures for the 56th time in her career and eclipsed 20 points for the 22nd time in her career. Page was named to the coaches' preseason all-Big 10 team earlier in the year.
Quick Hits:
  • Sophomore guard Gabby Cajou (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) leads the MAAC in field-goal percentage, shooting 60.6 percent so far this season. Cajou is 20-33 in six games played, including 4-7 from three-point range. She has shot 50 percent or better in every game and is averaging 8.3 points per game.
  • Grimme is second in the MAAC in scoring at 17.3 points per game, and also sits at second place for rebounds per game (9.7) this season.
  • Tatum had her first team-high scoring game of the season on November 29 against Fordham, earning all of her 13 points in the fourth quarter and hitting three three-point baskets.
