TODAY'S GAME
The Jaspers (5-13, 1-8 MAAC) begin a stretch where they play five out of six on the road with a short trip to Jersey City for a Sunday matinees against Saint Peter's (3-15, 2-7 MAAC) at the Yanitelli Center. Manhattan has dropped each of its last six games, including a 76-62 loss to Iona on Friday night. The Peacocks also come into the contest looking to snap a six-game losing streak. Saint Peter's fell to Rider by a 56-43 count on Thursday. This is the 82nd all-time meeting between the two original MAAC members, who will square off again eight days from now in Riverdale.

ABOUT THE JASPERS
Manhattan (5-13, 1-8 MAAC) suffered a 76-62 loss to Iona on Friday night. It was the Jaspers' sixth straight defeat. Junior center Kayla Grimme notches 11.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game to pace the squad. She's also the MAAC leader in blocks with an average of 1.8 per contest. Grimme is two blocks away from tying Manhattan's all-time career record. Four Jaspers tally between 5.8 and 5.4 points per outing. Junior guard Nyasha Irizarry registers 5.8 points a night and senior guard Maeve Parahus adds 5.7 points per game. They're tied for team lead with 1.5 three-pointers per contest. Junior center Mikki Guiton contributes 5.6 points per outing to go along with 3.4 rebounds a night, while freshman guard Gabby Cajou posts 5.4 points and 2.1 assists per game. Manhattan continues a string where it plays five out of six on the road with a visit to Rider (13-6, 7-3 MAAC) on Thursday night.

ABOUT THE PEACOCKS
Saint Peter's (3-15, 2-7 MAAC) has lost each of its last six games. The Peacocks suffered a 56-43 defeat against Rider on Thursday. Junior guard/forward Talah Hughes is the only Saint Peter's player to have started all 18 games this season. She leads the Peacocks in scoring (12.4 ppg) and ranks second on the squad in rebounding (5.6 rpg). Hughes is also eighth in the MAAC in field goal percentage (.486). Junior forward Sajanna Bethea registers 9.4 points per game to go along with a team-high 5.9 rebounds per contest. Sophomore guard Janelle Mullen, meanwhile, tallies 8.8 points a night and drains a squad-leading 1.4 three-pointers per game. Mullen also records 1.3 steals per contest. Freshman guard Sammy Lochner hands out 3.0 assists per outing to pace Saint Peter's. The Peacocks' next two games are the rematches with their last two opponents--at Rider on Saturday and against the Jaspers at Draddy Gymnasium next Monday.

SERIES HISTORY
Manhattan won all three meetings against Saint Peter's last season, including a 60-43 victory in the first round of the MAAC Tournament on March 3, 2016. The Jaspers also notched a 64-47 triumph in Riverdale on Jan. 21, 2016 and a 60-43 victory in Jersey City on Feb. 26, 2016. Manhattan hasn't lost at the Yanitelli Center since Feb. 23, 2009, and has won 13 of its last 15 matchups with Saint Peter's. The Peacocks lead the all-time series 52-29.

LAST TIME OUT
On Friday night at Draddy Gymnasium, the Jaspers dropped a 76-62 decision to defending MAAC champion Iona. Manhattan took an early 5-1 lead before the Gaels countered with seven straight points to go up 8-5, and Iona held a 19-16 advantage at the end of the first quarter. The Gaels led 36-29 at halftime, but Manhattan used an 8-0 run midway through the third quarter to take the lead, 46-45. It was 49-49 after three quarters, but Iona started the fourth quarter on an 11-0 rally to open up a 60-49 advantage. After Manhattan pulled within 67-60, the Gaels went 9-for-10 at the free throw line over the final minute to hand the Jaspers their sixth straight defeat, 76-62. Kayla Grimme finished with a career-high 21 points to go along with nine rebounds, while Mikki Guiton tallied 13 points and six boards.
