Malvern, PA - The Manhattan men's golf team placed 18th of 21 teams with a two-day score of 624 at the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Villanova University at the White Manor Country Club.
The Jaspers registered a 320 in yesterday's first round before lowing that total by an impressive 16 strokes with a final round mark of 304.
Sophomore Ryan Lynch (Boynton Beach, FL / Park Vista) led the way for the Jaspers for the second-straight match thanks to a strong final round. The Sunshine State native notched an impressive 72 (+1) in the final round en route to finishing in a tie for 19th with a 150 (+8).
Junior Jon Keyes (Bayport, NY / Bayport-Blue Point) was the second Manhattan finisher, placing 52nd in recording a 153 (+11) while senior Michael Giannico (Blue Point, NY / Bayport-Blue Point) was third on the squad and 84th overall with a 160 (+18).
Cleveland State won the team title with a mark of 593 while Kyle Wambold of Binghamton claimed the individual title with a mark of 143 (+1).
The Jaspers return to action on Sunday, April 3 at the Lafayette Invitational.
