Emmitsburg, MD- Mount Saint Mary's scored the final three goals to post a come-from-behind 8-7 overtime win over Manhattan.
With the win, the Mountaineers improves to 1-5 while the Jaspers fall to 2-4.
Freshman Molly Fitzpatrick (Yorktown, NY / Lakeland) opened the scoring sophomore Kara Hodapp (Oak Ridge, NJ / Jefferson Township) followed with a goal
Mount Saint Mary's finally found the back of the net before senior Kaitlyn Cunningham (Spring Lake, NJ / Red Bank Catholic) answered to push the lead out to 3-1. The Mount then ripped off a 3-1 run to tie the score up at 4-4 with junior Darby Nolan (Oakridge, NJ / Jefferson Township) scoring the final Manhattan goal of the half.
After halftime, senior Stefanie Ranagan (Yorktown Heights, NY / Yorktown) opened up the scoring off a pass from classmate Megan Yarusso (Brewster, NY / Brewster). Yarusso netted one of her own later in the second half before junior Sarah Lang (Golden's Bridge, NY / Vermont) extended the lead to two.
The Mount answered with the final two goals of the half before netting the game-winning in overtime.
The Jaspers return to action at Central Connecticut State on Wednesday, March 16 with first draw slated for 4:00 pm.
