TODAY'S GAME
After playing two straight on the road, Manhattan (3-1) returns to Draddy Gymnasium for the first of back-to-back home games on Saturday afternoon against Stony Brook (1-3). In their last outing, the Jaspers recorded a 58-57 victory at Brown on Tuesday. The Seawolves, meanwhile, are coming off their first win of the season, a 55-53 triumph over Columbia on Tuesday. This is Manhattan's first-ever “Junior Jasper Day,” as all children 12 and under received free admission, and the team will be holding a clinic and autograph session following the game.

ABOUT THE JASPERS
The Jaspers (3-1) are coming off a 58-57 victory at Brown on Tuesday afternoon. Manhattan's top four scorers are all averaging between 9.3 and 8.8 points per game. Senior guard Maeve Parahus paces the Jaspers with 9.3 points per contest, and she drains a team-high 2.0 three-pointers per outing on .421 shooting from long range. Senior center Kayla Grimme, who had her first double-double of the season at Brown, registers 9.0 points and a team-high 8.5 boards a night to go along with a conference-best 3.3 blocks per game. Senior center Mikki Guiton tallies 9.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest, while junior guard Amani Tatum contributes 8.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.3 steals per outing. She also leads the league with 5.0 assists a night. Manhattan (0-0 MAAC) begins its Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) schedule on Tuesday night, when Marist (1-6, 0-0 MAAC) visits Draddy Gymnasium.

ABOUT THE SEAWOLVES
Stony Brook (1-3) defeated Columbia by a 55-53 count on Tuesday night for its first win of the 2016-17 campaign. The Seawolves have used the same starting lineup in every contest this season, with all five starters averaging at least 27.8 minutes per game. Senior guard Kori Bayne-Walker leads Stony Brook with 14.5 points per outing, and she also distributes a team-best 4.3 assists a night. Junior forward Elizabeth Manner ranks second on the squad in both scoring (10.3 ppg) and rebounding (5.0 rpg), while junior guard Lauren Williams contributes 10.0 points per game. Sophomore guard Davion Wingate, meanwhile, registers 7.0 points per contest off the bench. Senior guard Christa Scognamiglio leads Stony Brook with 6.0 rebounds per outing to go along with 2.0 steals a night, and junior guard Aaliyah Worley adds 5.0 boards per game. This is the start of a four-game road trip for the Seawolves, who visit St. Bonaventure (1-3) on Wednesday.

SERIES HISTORY
Manhattan has won all three previous meetings against Stony Brook. The last time the teams met was on Dec. 15, 2008, when the Jaspers visited Stony Brook and came away with a 70-60 triumph. In the Seawolves' only prior trip to Draddy Gymnasium on Nov. 24, 2007, Manhattan recorded a 74-68 victory. Manhattan and Stony Brook first met during the 1999-2000 season, the Seawolves' first at the Division I level, with the Jaspers taking that contest 79-66.

LAST TIME OUT
Nyasha Irizarry sank two free throws with 0.1 seconds remaining to give the Jaspers a 58-57 victory at Brown on Tuesday. After Irizarry tied it at 56-56 with a three-pointer at the 12-second mark, the Bears took a one-point lead on a free throw with just under four seconds left. The Jaspers held off a furious Brown comeback from 10 points down entering the fourth quarter. The Bears led 27-26 at halftime, but Manhattan outscored Brown 19-8 in the third to take a 45-35 cushion into the final period. Brown opened the fourth quarter on an 11-2 run, though, and held a 55-51 advantage with 1:43 left. Kayla Grimme finished with a career-high 20 points and 10 rebounds. She also recorded five blocks. Mikki Guiton tallied 12 points and seven boards, while Irizarry contributed 10 points, including Manhattan's last five.
