Memphis, TN - Dedric Lawson scored a game-high 21 points to lead Memphis to an 89-57 win over Manhattan at FedExForum.

Senior Shane Richards notched a team-high 17 points and eight rebounds to pace the Jaspers while junior Rich Williams (Brooklyn, NY / Vermont Academy (VT)) added 15 points off the bench.

Manhattan shot 40.6 percent in the first half and ended the stanza on a 13-2 run in taking a 38-36 halftime lead. In the half-ending spurt, Richards canned three triples with a pair of free throws while sophomore Samson Akilo (Lagos, Nigeria / Nazareth (NY)) converted two from the line.

Memphis would rally after halftime, outscoring the Jaspers by a 53-19 count in moving to 6-2 on the season with the visitors falling tot 1-7.

Manhattan shot a season-high 81.0 percent (17-of-21) at the line, but made good on just 32.1 percent (17-of-53) from the floor, including 20.0 percent (6-of-30) from long range.

The Jaspers return to action on Monday, December 14 when they welcome St. Francis Brooklyn to Draddy Gymnasium with opening tip slated for 7:00 pm.
