HELLERTOWN, Pa. - The Jaspers enjoyed a successful first round at the Lafayette Invitational, completing the day tied for eighth place out of the eighteen teams competing in the tournament.
Three Jaspers scored in the 70s on Sunday, with senior Paul Toohey leading the charge with a 75 (+4). Fellow seniors Chris Calabro and Jonathan Feuer also hit the ball well on day one, each finishing with a 76 (+5).
As a team, the Jaspers finished round one with a 312 (+28), a score that has them tied with the La Salle Explorers for eighth place in the event. The Longwood Lancers concluded round one in first place with a team score of 300 (+16).
The final round is underway at the Silver Creek Country Club.
