Manhattan Drops to Fourth After Second Round of MAAC Tournament

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA. - The Jaspers scored a 317 (+29) as a team on day two of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship at Disney's Palm Golf Course on Saturday morning. After two rounds of play, Manhattan sits in fourth place, one stroke behind the Fairfield Stags, and eight strokes behind the leading Saint Peter's Peacocks.

Seniors Chris Calabro and Paul Toohey were the two Jaspers who improved on their first round scores in round two. Calabro turned in Manhattan's low score on Saturday, finishing with a 77 (+5). After an 84 (+12) on the first day of the tournament, Toohey posted an 80 (+8) on Saturday. Senior Jonathan Feuer is the Jaspers low scorer over the first two days, turning in scores of 76 (+4) and 78 (+6), respectively.

Feuer, Calabro and sophomore James Edgeworth are all in the top 20 in individual scoring after two rounds of play. 

Toohey will lead the Jaspers out on Sunday morning, when he hits the tee box at 8:15 a.m. Manhattan is searching for its first-ever MAAC Tournament victory.

Final round coverage will air on ESPN3 beginning at 10 a.m.
