JASPERS VS. SAINTS
Coming off their first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) loss of the season, 70-46 at Marist on Friday night, the Jaspers (3-9, 2-1 MAAC) return to Draddy Gymnasium this afternoon for a matchup with Siena (5-6, 0-2 MAAC). That loss snapped Manhattan's two-game winning streak. The Saints, meanwhile, have dropped two straight, including a 77-63 defeat against Rider on Tuesday. The Jaspers conclude a span where they played five out of six games at home on Thursday, when the host Fairfield in their annual “Kid's Day Out” contest.
ABOUT MANHATTAN
Manhattan (3-9, 2-1 MAAC) looks to rebound after suffering its first MAAC loss of the season, 70-46 at Marist on Friday night. Senior guard Monica Roeder paces the Jaspers offensively. She averages 10.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Sophomore forward Shayna Ericksen contributes 9.3 points and 5.2 boards per contest, and she leads the MAAC in field goal percentage (.587). Ericksen also pace the Jaspers with 1.6 steals per game. Senior guard Allison Skrec, meanwhile, records 8.5 points and 2.6 rebounds a night to go along with 5.3 assists an outing, the third-highest total in the MAAC. Skrec is Manhattan's leading scorer in conference games (12.7 ppg). Junior guard Nicole Isaacs is the Jaspers' top three-point shooter. She drains 2.5 treys per contest and currently ranks fourth on the squad with 8.8 points a night. The Jaspers welcome Fairfield to Draddy Gymnasium for the annual “Kid's Day Out” game at 11 a.m. on Thursday.

After going 5-4 during non-conference play, (5-6, 0-2 MAAC) have opened its MAAC schedule with back-to-back losses, including a 77-63 defeat against Rider on Tuesday afternoon. Siena doesn't have a single player averaging double-figures in the scoring column. Senior guard Kanika Cummings is the team leader with 9.3 points per game. Junior guard Tehresa Coles adds 7.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest. Coles also notches 1.9 assists and 1.6 steals per outing, while senior forward Clara Sole Anglada and freshman forward Megan Donohue each contribute 7.6 points a night. Donohue also leads the Saints in rebounding (5.8 rpg), while Sole Anglada grabs 5.3 boards per contest. Alongside senior guard Ciara Stewart, that quartet has started every game for Siena this season. Stewart hands out a team-leading 2.3 assists per outing. Freshman guard Emia Willingham, meanwhile, registers 6.1 points and 2.2 steals per game off the bench. Up next, the Saints visit Marist on Tuesday night.
SERIES HISTORY
Siena has won six of the last eight matchups between the teams, including the last four, and leads the all-time series 36-19. The Saints' current four-game winning streak is the longest against Manhattan by any MAAC opponent. Last season, the Saints notched a 62-55 triumph in Albany and a 54-51 victory in Riverdale. Manhattan's last win over Siena was on Feb. 2, 2012, when the Jaspers topped the Saints by a 56-53 count at Draddy Gymnasium.
MARIST 70, MANHATTAN 46
Manhattan saw its two-game winning streak snapped with a 70-46 loss at Marist on Friday night. The contest was tight early on, and after a layup by Allison Skrec, the Jaspers trailed by just three, 13-10, at the 9:20 mark of the first half. However, Marist responded with a 17-6 run to open p a 30-16 advantage before Manhattan closed the half on a 7-4 rally to make it 34-23 at intermission. Early in the second half, the Red Foxes used a 14-4 rally to increase the margin to 21 points, and Marist built a 25-point cushion at 67-42 with 4:02 remaining. Manhattan got a pair of late layups from Shayna Ericksen before a Marist three-pointer capped the scoring in the Red Foxes' 34th straight conference victory, 70-46. Skrec paced the Jaspers with 12 points, while Ericksen tallied nine points and five rebounds. Ashley Stec grabbed a team-high six boards.
