ALBANY, N.Y. - In their second game in three days, the Manhattan women's lacrosse team struggled offensively falling 19-1 to the Albany Great Danes. In total, the Jaspers (1-5) were outshot 34-7, including 18-3 in the first half.

Albany (3-2) started the game off with a goal just 48 seconds in when Rachael Burek fed Rachel Bowles, starting a string of five consecutive goals for the Great Danes. Manhattan freshman Stefanie Ranagan tallied the lone goal for the Jaspers at the 9:25 mark of the first half. It would be the only score of the contest as Manhattan couldn't find the net the final 39:25.

After the Great Danes scored four more goals to head into the locker room up 9-1, they added 10 more goals in the second.  Eleven different players scored for Albany, while Bowels, Nichole Eamer and Ariana Parker each notched hat tricks. Burek led all players with five points, including four assists. Starting goalkeeper Anna Berman made two saves, playing 47:16 minutes before Courtney Henderson finished the contest without making a save.

Sophomore goalkeeper Christina Fiorinelli made nine saves in the cage for Manhattan and picked up a team high five goals. Kathleen Lennon led all players with eight ground balls and seven caused turnovers.  The Jaspers were also held to 10-17 on clear attempts and forced into 24 turnovers.

Manhattan concludes a three game road swing on Sun., March 17 when they travel to Washington, D.C. for a 1 p.m. game with Howard.
