Schatz swam the anchor leg of the 200 medley relay with a 27.80 second split to start things off well for the Jaspers. Her teammates would follow by winning six straight individual events to put the meet well out of reach. Kim Geissler came away with victories in both the 100 and 50 yard freestyle. Senior Kerry Schuermann (50 back), Brianne Grant (50 breast), and Paige Raccioppi (100 fly) also placed first in their individual meets while Schatz was able to earn an individual win in the 100 back. The win was the third straight for the Manhattan women who are now 4-2 on the season.
For the men it was much of the same as they won six of the first seven events, and finished 1-2-3 in five of them, taking complete control early. After the team of Isaacs, Daly, Ryan Klages, and Varieur won the 200 medley relay, Varieur would also find victories in the 100 free and 100 yard Individual Medley. Freshman Lance Neuendorf finished first in the 50 yard back followed by teammates Chris Fusco and James Harasym.
Isaacs would also pick up wins in both the 50 free and the 200 freestyle relay while Dallan Treanor finished first in both the 40 yard breaststroke and the 100 yard back. It was the fifth straight meet win for the men who improve to 6-1 overall.
Both teams will take part in the ECAC Invitational this weekend, Nov. 30-Dec. 2, at the Nassau County Aquatics Center in East Meadow, N.Y.
