Manhattan (4-19, 2-10 MAAC)

Manhattan plays its fourth straight road contest when it meets Iona on Monday at the Hynes Athletic Center. The Jaspers are coming off a hard-fought 64-57 loss to Siena on Friday in Albany.

Sophomore guard George Beamon led Manhattan in scoring for the 14th time this season posting a team-high 17 points. It was Beamon's 20th double-digit scoring effort in 23 appearances this season. Beamon currently leads Manhattan and ranks fifth in the MAAC averaging 15.2 points per game. The Roslyn, N.Y. native is also tied for ninth in the conference averaging 6.7 rebounds.

Demetrius Jemison, a graduate transfer from Alabama, is coming off a solid defensive effort on Monday at Siena. Jemison set a career-high with 16 rebounds, 15 of which came on the defensive glass. Jemison helped limit the MAAC Preseason Player of the Year to seven points below his MAAC leading season scoring average (19.1 ppg). In 14 starts since satisfying the requirements for a NCAA graduate transfer waiver on Dec. 10, Jemison is averaging 10.1 points and a team-best 8.8 rebounds per contest.

Junior forward Djbril Coulibaly has emerged as one of the Jaspers' key reserves, as of late. Coulibaly, a 6'9" center from Mali, has averaged 9.0 points and is shooting 69.2% (9-13) from the field over a 23.0 minute average in the last two contests. Coulibaly's 12 points on 6-for-7 shooting in the Jaspers win at Marist set a career-best.

Freshman point guard Michael Alvarado is coming off a solid effort in his first career meeting with Siena at the Times Union Center in Albany. Alvarado recorded 15 points, dished out five assists and made three steals. Alvarado has posted a 3.7-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio in the last two contests. He is second on the roster in scoring, averaging 10.5 points and he leads the squad and is seventh in the MAAC with a 77.9% free-throw percentage.

Iona (13-10, 67-5 MAAC)

Iona has dropped its last four MAAC contests by a combined 11 points. The Gaels' recent skid erased a five-game winning streak.
