(May 13, 2007)- In a battle of the teams that will be the top two seeds at the MAAC Tournament in two weeks, Le Moyne College put up crooked numbers in each of the first four innings on the way to an 8-4 win at Manhattan this afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park. The Jaspers fall out of first place for the first time all season, dropping to 31-16, 19-4 MAAC on the season, while the Dolphins take over first place with a record of 27-17, 19-3 MAAC.
Andy Parrino led off the game with a solo blast to right field to give Le Moyne the early advantage, but
The Dolphins regained the lead in the second on a two run homer by Robby Perez, and added another run in the top of the third on an RBI single to take a 4-1 lead.
Le Moyne was not to be denied in this game, taking the lead for good in the Dolphins' next turn at bat, scoring two runs on a single. Le Moyne added two insurance runs in the top of the seventh to provide the final margin.
