Washington, D.C. (March 13, 2007)- Manhattan women's lacrosse broke out offensively this afternoon against Howard University, scoring 23 goals to post a 23-9 victory over the Lady Bison.
The Lady Jaspers scored five of the game's first six goals, and raced to a 14-5 halftime lead.
Brenna Tinari scored five goals and added two assists, while Alicia Psillos scored three goals while added five helpers to pace the Manhattan offense. Jenny Carman, Jillian McGowan, and Caralyn Hickey each tallied four-goal games, and Lauren Civardi, Kaitlin McGorry, and Emilia Ward chipped in with one tally apiece. Civardi and Ward would also assist on three goals each.
Ashley Devins made 15 saves for Manhattan, which gets back in action on Tuesday, March 20, hosting Binghamton University at 3:00 p.m. at Eastchester High School in Eastchester, N.Y.
