LADY J'S GET READY FOR VERMONT ON SATURDAY

Today's Game: Manhattan is playin its seocnd of three consecutive home games today against the University of vermont.  Against non-conference opponents the Lady J's are 5-4 overall, but are undefeated when playing in Draddy Gym.  Manhattan is looking to dish out some revenge from last year's loss to the Catamounts.

History vs. Vermont:  The Lady Jaspers are 0-2 aginst the Catamounts.  The last time these two teams played each other was least season as Manhattan dropped a road decision.

History vs. America East: The Lady J's have a 11-8 record against America East opponents.  Their last win came earlier this season as Manhattan defeated Stony Brook Univeristy 74-68 on November 24.

History vs. Non-Conference Opponents:  Manhattan sports a 202-225 record against all teams that do not play in the MAAC.  Their last meeting was against Conference USA opponent Southern Methodist Univeristy where the Lady J's took home a 70-60 victory.

Record at Draddy: The Lady J's hold a 210-153 record while playing in their home gym.

"Four"some: Dellinger, Nwafili, Flood and Cottrell gained valuable experience as freshman, appearing in 25 games together.  In the next two years the injury bug bit the quartet consistently as the four only appeared in 14 games as sophomores and just six when they were juniors.  This season they have been healthy and that has equated to their success on the court as the Lady J's have improved to a 7-4 record.

Last Time Out:  In the first of a three game home-stand against non-conference opponents, Manhattan beat Southern Methodist University 70-60 on December 19.  The Lady J's handed SMU their first loss in eight games as SMU was on a eight game winning streak and came into the came with an overall record of 8-1.  Senior Caitlin Flood led all Manhattan scorers with 16 points on 10-12 shooting from the free throw line.  Gabrielle Cottrell added 10 points and junior Annie McIntyre had nine for the game, respectively.

On the Horizon: The Lady Jaspers will finish out there season-high three game home stand as they will take on Villanova University on December 30.  MAAC play continues in 2008 for the first game of the new year, Manhattan will travel to take on Loyola College on Saturday, January 5.  The regular season will be in full swing as Siena College will come to Riverdale to take on Manhattan for the second time this season on January 11.
