Riverdale, N.Y. (November 7, 2007)- Sophomores Darryl Crawford and Jamel Ferguson each tallied a game-high 14 points as Manhattan sailed to a 73-44 win over Concordia College tonight at Draddy Gym in the Jaspers' final preseason tune-up.

Manhattan came out of the gates a little cold from the floor, as the Clippers raced out to a 5-0 lead after 1:16.  The Jaspers then found their shooting touch, scoring the game's next seven points.  With the game tied at 7-7 with 15:07 left in the opening stanza, Manhattan went on a 30-7 run to end the half, holding Concordia to just two points over a 9:41 stretch in which the Clippers went 0-13 from the field.  Crawford hit a three pointer at the first half buzzer to send the Jaspers into the locker room with a 37-14 lead.

Manhattan led by as many as 31 (46-15) early in the second half, and did not allow the lead to dip below 19 points the rest of the game.

Ferguson added seven rebounds and a game-high five steals to his point total in just 15 minutes of action.  Newcomer Herve Banogle chipped in with a game-high 12 rebounds, including six on the offensive end, while sophomore Patrick Bouli tallied eight points, five rebounds, and a game-high four assists.

Manhattan opens the 2007-08 campaign on Saturday, November 10, traveling to Newark, N.J. to take on NJIT, with tip-off slated for 2:00 p.m.
