Riverdale, N.Y. (November 16, 2007) ? Manhattan College swim coach Walter Olsewski racked up his 100th win as the coach of the Lady Jasper swimmers as they defeated Hunter College 124-81 at the Riverdale Country Day School pool.

 

In getting the win over Hunter, the swim team tied the school record for most wins in a season with 12.

 

Leading the Lady Jaspers were multiple winners Megan O'Keefe and Kellie Monaco.  O'Keefe, a junior, took first place in the 200 individual medley in 2:25.62;, the 100 butterfly (in 1:04.10) and swam the third leg for the Lady Jaspers as they took first in the 200 freestyle relay, racing in 1:51.49.. Monaco, a sophomore, swam the third leg for the winning 200 medley relay team which won in 2:04.77 and also touched first in the 500 freestyle, swimming a 6:06.39.

 

Other winners for the Lady J's swimmers were:  sophomore Catherine Chan, who won the 50 freestyle event in 27.07; senior Maura McGowan, who won the 100 freestyle in 59.04; and freshman Kayla Hutzler, who touched first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:16.36.
